On a lazy Sunday afternoon, we can’t think of a better place to spend it than at the top of the hill overlooking Durham Valley – a Durham PA Valley View From the Top.
Durham is is the quintessential PA town. With a meandering Cooks Creek, a large farm in the valley, and a town where the most commercial building is the post office in the 18th century iron works building, Durham PA is a great place to live. Can you believe this location is just a little over an hour from Manhattan? (Authors Note: Durham is where I used to escape to on summer weekends when I lived in Manhattan – Rt 78 on Saturday morning is so much easier than the LIE).
Durham, PA is just a few miles from the Delaware River and the river town of Riegelsville PA. We’ll write about the awesomeness of Riegelsville PA 18077, the Riegelsville Bridge and the Riegelsville Inn in future Upper Bucks County Homes posts.
Durham PA is where they made the Durham Boat – yes, “That!” Durham boat that George Wahington crossed the Delaware River in during that Christmas blizzard. You can read about the replica Durham Boat on AMC and our friend Stephen in this week’s issue of the Bucks County Herald.
Enjoy your afternoon – and if you’d like to learn more about this property or this post Durham PA Valley View From the Top please see our Featured Listings or Contact Us to Learn More About Upper Bucks County Homes For Sale.
